Advisory Committee on In-Home Supportive Services
Purpose
Advisory Committee on In-Home Supportive Services gives IHSS consumers a voice in how services are provided, to improve the availability and quality of IHSS, and to support services that enhance the lives of seniors and persons with disabilities who choose to live independently and with dignity in their own homes.
The Advisory Committee is a governmental body comprised of 6 current or past IHSS Consumers, 2 home care Providers, 2 advocates, and 1 person with expertise in disability rights, advocacy, or government, who have been approved by the Board of Supervisors (which serves as the Public Authority’s governing body).
