Housing & Emergency Lodging Program (HELP)
Emergency housing for homeless or at-risk of becoming homeless individuals
What is HELP?
The Housing & Emergency Lodging Program is available to single adult individuals of Alameda County who do not meet the Season of Sharing criteria. HELP will provide one-time crisis-based financial assistance for critical housing needs to help homeless individuals transition to permanent housing and individuals at-risk of becoming homeless maintain their current housing. Financial assistance includes payments for rent, security deposits and other critical housing needs.
You may be eligible if you:
- are a single adult;
- have been an Alameda County resident for at least 6 continuous months;
- are homeless or at-risk of becoming homeless due to unforeseen circumstances; and
- have sustainable income.
