Using your Benefits

General Assistance recipients can choose between receiving cash aid through direct deposit or an Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card. 

  • If you choose direct deposit, the cash benefit will be added to your bank account directly.  
  • If you choose an EBT card, this can be used in the same way an ATM or debit card is used. 

Tell your eligibility worker your choice and they will give you further instructions. You can find more information here.

If your card is stolen or lost, please call 1-877-328-9677 to report it and to request a replacement card.
