Using your Benefits

CalWORKs recipients can choose between receiving cash assistance through an Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card or direct deposit.

  • If you choose an EBT card, this can be used in the same way an ATM or debit card is used.
  • If you choose direct deposit, the cash benefit will be added to your bank account directly. 

Tell your eligibility worker your choice and they will give you further instructions. You can find more information here.

If your card is stolen or lost, please call 1-877-328-9677 to report it and request a replacement card.
